About

Mommy’s Gift to Me is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of both mother and child by providing education and access to resources for breastfeeding. We envision a future where every mother, regardless of race, income, language, or ZIP code, has the resources, knowledge, and support needed to meet her breastfeeding goals. We are working toward a future where disparities in breastfeeding rates no longer exist, particularly for Black and Hispanic families, and where community-based support systems empower mothers to make informed decisions about their health and their children's well-being. Through education, resource distribution, and peer-led support, we aim to build a sustainable culture that normalizes and encourages breastfeeding in underserved communities. By expanding our Ambassador Moms Program and increasing language access, we hope to replicate this model in communities across the country. Equity – We prioritize communities that have historically faced barriers to breastfeeding and maternal healthcare, ensuring our resources reach those most impacted by disparities. Empowerment – We believe mothers should have the knowledge, tools, and confidence to make informed decisions about feeding their children. Our programs are designed to equip mothers, not simply serve them. Community – We build trust through relationships and peer support. Our Ambassador Moms Program reflects our belief that lasting change is strongest when led by members of the community themselves. Accessibility – We provide resources at no cost and offer bilingual education and support to reduce financial, language, and information barriers.
