Our mission. HelloBaby is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to support, empower and inspire families raising young children in underserved neighborhoods in Chicago. Our philosophy. We firmly believe that no mother should parent in isolation and that it takes a village, which is to say a community, to raise a child. At HelloBaby we’ve become an essential part of that village for parents in Woodlawn, a struggling South Side neighborhood . By lifting up parents and supporting children during the most developmentally crucial time in their growth we believe that we can impact lasting and meaningful change. Our purpose. To level the playing field in Chicago and beyond. We believe that all children deserve opportunities for safe, inspired play regardless of their family's financial situation. In a welcoming space, children can begin to discover and trust their inner voice, abilities, passions, and joys. We also believe that parenting is the hardest job there is, especially when resources are limited.
